Coming This Christmas

Neural implants have replaced connection. The silence is coming.

Synopsis

The Story

The year is 2060. Neural implants have transformed society, connecting everyone to virtual worlds while disconnecting them from each other. Santa Claus still delivers presents, but children no longer look up at the stars—they’re too busy in their digital feeds.

When Santa is arrested during a chaotic mission gone wrong, three bullied teenagers—Miles, Lily, and Theo—discover his imprisonment through an old radio.

To free him, they create a virus to cut power to his prison. But their code spreads further than intended, triggering catastrophic consequences across the globe.

As Christmas Eve descends into chaos, Santa races against time on an impossible mission to save the world.

Director's Note

Humanity Restored

Digital Silent Night is a feature-length Christmas film that asks: what happens when technology meant to connect us actually pulls us apart?

Created entirely using AI filmmaking tools, this project explores both the story’s themes and the future of independent cinema.

Why This Story Matters

In an age of constant connectivity, we’re more isolated than ever. Digital Silent Night uses the familiar framework of a Christmas story to examine our relationship with technology—not to condemn it, but to ask whether we’re using it to enhance human connection or replace it.

The film celebrates analog experiences: playing board games, making eye contact, eating grandmother’s cooking, reading physical books. It’s about three kids who are bullied for being different and find strength in each other. It’s about a father who realises he’s been watching his daughter through a screen instead of sitting beside her. It’s about choosing presence over performance.

And yes, it's about Santa Claus saving the world with a rocket sleigh.

01.

Why AI?

Traditional filmmaking requires massive budgets, crews of hundreds, and years of production time. AI tools democratize storytelling, allowing independent creators to realize ambitious visions that would otherwise be impossible.

But technology is just a tool. The heart of Digital Silent Night—its characters, themes, and emotional truth—comes from human creativity and vision.

02.

The Irony

There’s a deliberate irony in using AI to tell a story about technology’s impact on humanity. The film doesn’t argue that technology is evil—it argues that technology should serve human connection, not replace it. These AI tools allowed one person to create a feature film, proving that technology can empower individual voices rather than drown them out.
